Perhaps they should be branded as “a choice.”

“The Best Choice brand carried products designed to be national brand equivalents.”

According to the Best Choice Brand website, the product offering are advertised to essentially be on par with widely recognized brands within the various product category offerings.

However, the staff at Poopable are starting to wonder if these products simply fall into a mediocre, generic category. Do not let generic branded products dissuade you though. Poopable recognizes that many generic product offerings certainly deliver a name-branded feel or wipe.

It appears as though the Best Choice brand of baby wipes may be over-hyped by their near 40-year-old brand.

Best Choice is a private label brand that offers a wide range of products across various categories such as food and beverages, household items, personal care, and more.

According to their website, “the Best Choice brand first hit shelves in 1984.” Since then the brand has expanded it’s product lines to brands like Superior Selections and Clearly.

Private label brands like Best Choice are typically owned by retailers and offer an alternative to well-known national brands. In the case of Best Choice, their brand is distributed across multiple supermarket retailers by Associated Wholesale Grocers (AWG).

AWG is a cooperative organization that serves as a retailer-owned grocery wholesaler. It is one of the largest players in grocery wholesale in the United States. They distribute brands of products like Best Choice and Superior Selections.

AWG is owned and operated by its member retailers.

So, bonus points for the retailers as AWG provides distribution and logistics services, procurement support, marketing assistance, and other resources to help independent retailers compete in a highly brand saturated industry.

The products are designed to provide quality at a competitive price point.

Price point can make or break a purchase decision for consumers. However, for many poopers out there, paying an extra dollar or two for a comfier and cleaner wiping experience is worth picking up the couch cushions for extra quarters.

Let’s get back to their wipes though.

When it comes to flushable baby wipes, there are brands that stand out for their butt-cleaning quality and those that fall into the realm of, “they’ll work.”

In terms of moisture, these wipes boast, “MOIST” across their branded label. However, they tend to dry out quicker than other wipes, making them less effective for cleanups. They also advertise a blend of Vitamin E and aloe in their wipes, yet neither of these features seems noticeable.

The Poopable staff all give the proverbial head nod that these wipes are by no means moist paper. However, if you’re a pooper that has grown accustomed to a more cleansing and fresh experience, Best Choice falls into the category of, “a choice.”

The Poopable staff agree that Best Choice wipes will get the job done at a bargain price, but do not expect the post-bidet feeling that can be associated with other brands.

If you peaked into some of the unfortunate experiences in Jammin’ with Jeff or enjoyed Brady’s Pamplona misery, sometimes poopers can’t be choosers.

Poopable always wants to hear what is happening in the flushable world of Potty Products!
