A picture is worth a thousand words…and zero smells.
Steve Lemme, alongside Broken Lizard comedy brethren, Jay Chandrasekhar and Kevin Heffernan, recently shared a stinky and sticky fan interaction on Andrew Santino’s podcast and YouTube show, Whiskey Ginger.
The Broken Lizard crew is a near 30-year-old comedy troupe, comprised of Jay Chandrasekhar, Steve Lemme, Kevin Heffernan, Paul Soter, and Erik Stolhanske. The comedy gang of friends, now in their 50’s and still pooping strong, are responsible for comedy movie classics like, Super Troopers, Club Dread, Beerfest, and the recently-released film Quasi.
Lemme’s story begins around the hour and five-minute mark, and apparently happened sometime between “2009 and 2019,” at Los Angeles International Airport.
“You always smile as you release that first fart of the day.”
Lemme arrived at the airport and after checking his bags, he decided to release the first fart of the day. Lemme was expecting the relief and satisfaction that we all appreciate after the first bottom-blast is blown from our butts. However, instead of joy, Lemme experienced the universally shared fear, manifest into reality.
“You have kind of a loose anus,” Jay Chandrasekhar, appropriately noted the personal characteristic of his longtime friend and fellow Broken Lizard crew member, as he began sharing the muddy-butt memory.
“I shat my pants.”
After Lemme unloaded a moist shart, he knew that he was unable to get to a spare pair of clean undies from his bag. His plan was to waddle through security and to eventually purchase a non-poopified pair of sweats.
Before he and Heffernan, who was traveling with him and had not crapped his pants, could complete, “Operation Lemme-Be-Clean,” they were intercepted by a fan.
Lemme, being a kind-hearted celebrity, is always up for multiple selfies with fans. Through laughter, he told the tale to Santino, by noting that he always likes taking a couple of pics, featuring serious and funny faces.
“So, this time you had to do the, I just sh*t my pants face, what did that look like?” Remarked an inquisitive but non-judgmental Santino.
Lemme stated he never actually saw the poopy pants photos from the fan, nor does he believe the fan noticed that he had just experienced a colon calamity.
“There is a fan out there, with four or five photos of the two of us with him, and there is sh*t in pants.”
To the fan who still has the poopy picture proof, Poopable would love to here from you!
The Poopable staff commend and salute Steve Lemme for being a real pooper trooper. There are plenty of celebrities that will not give a fan a few seconds for a selfie. Steve Lemme, you are a class act, despite your loose anus and a true Poopable pooper.
Poopable recognizes your fun history of work and admires you for your fan appreciation under diarrhea duress.
Honorable mention to Chicago’s very own ginger, Andrew Santino, for providing the platform. Check out his channel, its a great listen on the home throne.
