Clogs don’t unclog themselves!

In the ever-evolving world of trades and services, one profession continues to stand out for its indispensable role, the plumber!

The demand for skilled plumbers is increasing. Recently, Mr. Rooter Plumbing, a well-known plumbing franchise with locations across North America, conducted an online survey of more than 2,000 adults.

The survey set out to answer a few top-of-mind questions in the North American plumbing landscape. For example, “how strong is the demand for plumbers in the U.S.?” Or, “what are the top reasons that people call a plumber?”

The results of the survey revealed that the magnitude of the plumbing problem hardly influenced the decision to call a plumber. Even if the issues were minor, homeowners across America are increasingly relying on the expertise of professional plumbers to tackle their plumbing needs.

According to the survey, nearly 70 percent of respondents reported being unsuccessful in trying to fix a plumbing issue independently. Needless to say, Americans tend to avoid the do-it-yourself approach if faced with a plumbing endeavor.

Let’s be honest, clogs can be scary and… stinky!

What were the survey responses for the cause of a, “I need a plumber now” phone call?

  • Clogged drains
  • Frozen pipes
  • High water pressure

Mr. Rooter’s Plumbing survey highlights a growing demand for plumbers because, “it’s clear that many homeowners don’t feel as though they have the ability to fix plumbing issues on their own.”

City dwelling poopers know if their toilet breaks, they can’t simply use the yard.

Unsurprisingly, the anxiety of doing more harm than good while attempting to fix a leaky pipe or a pesky clog led almost half of the survey responses to admit, “they lack the confidence to learn those skills…”

The staff at Poopable also discovered that the demand from skilled plumbers is also on the rise because of infrastructure projects and water consumption initiatives.

As existing infrastructure and buildings age, they require extensive maintenance, repair, and renovation. Plumbing systems, prone to wear and tear, often need upgrading or replacement. Plumbers play a vital role in addressing these issues, contributing to the steady demand for their expertise.

Additionally, the renovation boom in both residential and commercial spaces further fuel the need for skilled plumbers to handle plumbing modifications and improvements.

Presently there is an increasing emphasis on water conservation and overall environmental consciousness. Water conservation has become a top priority for much of the world’s population.

Plumbers with expertise in sustainable plumbing solutions are highly sought after. From installing low-flow fixtures to designing rainwater harvesting systems, these professionals help individuals and businesses reduce their water consumption, leading to long-term savings and a more sustainable future.

Poopable is always thrilled to highlight the importance of recognizing and appreciating the vital role plumbers and all those in the trades play in our everyday lives. This surge in demand brings forth promising opportunities for those already clearing clogs or for those considering a career in plumbing.
